As the scary picture suggests, and as the trimester comes to an end I reflect upon what I was aiming to achieve and learn and what I wish to do in the future.
Concept and Character Design
One one my passions is Concept and illustrative work, I always love to draw and always do my best to better my skills in creative based work. My goals for concept design is to better my skills at creating different works, both from my own ideas to bringing other peoples idea to life.
With Each project I worked on i always offered to be be the one to create different concept works to help bring give ideas to light and help with creation of a game in the early stages. Throughout the trimester I always found myself Animating, drawing or Coloring something which I found was what i was best suited at and going through the trimester has really helped me hone my skills.
Along with Understanding art basics such as form and style I always begun researching more on color and how to properly use different saturations and which colors work best together. D-67's highly colored environments is where I tried to put color theory to work, understanding how colors affect the mood of the game, where the environment shifts from fulled colored to complete gray scale.

3D Modeling!
Before the Trimester started I set myself the Goal of learning how to create 3D based assets and characters, from beginning to texturing and finally implementing them into the game.
Pinch and D-67!
For 3d modeling I gained a lot of experience in creating different models for both games, learning new techniques and understanding what can work and won't work, such as defining scales and understanding how a model is created (proteus tree's required a different approach)

Level Design
Along with creating environment assets I also helped with setting up the levels for the games and this shift from creating to implementing helped me understand how objects are viewed within a level and taking that onboard from the start of asset creation would help better understand how these items affect the layout of the environment itself.
2D - Animation
In the First week as well as the final project I set myself the task of creating animations and learning how it all works. Previous projects that I had worked helped me gain some idea on where to start and how the basics of animation worked and taking that onboard helped me with projects this trimester where I created character based animations as well as environment based animations.
From here As Well as some grounding in 3D modeling I'm hoping to learn to create 3D based animations.

Rigging and 3D Animation
After Pinch, working with animators gave me the idea to start learning how character animations work from the modeling and texturing to Rigging and finally animating them to later be implemented within a game to use. As a side project I went along a digital tutors tutorial series where they explored the basics of development piple for indie games, starting with basic concepts to final build. Following the series I learnt how to Start with an idea, create the concept art, design the model, texture the model and finally set it up for rigging and in future I want to finish up with learning basic animations and implementing the idea within a basic game.
More Exposure to Coding
Most projects that I was teamed had me set as the art guy, and although I do love to create art assets for the game I was also very curious with coding side of things and with D-67 as well as my solo project Booty-Time! Getting some better practice in C# scripting with implementation of animation scripts, character scripts, hud scripts, audio scripts and playing around with Ai scripts.
In the future I wanted to start looking into more advanced scripting methods, and just in general learn better code ethics and scripting structures.

Sprinkle of Audio
One Aspect of Games development apart from management is audio, where all projects I have worked on has required outsourcing. I did manage to create some sound effects such as pinche's guards and a few sound effects for D-67 but as with 3D assets I wanted to get more in depth within audio production to better understand how it works within games development as well as how audio production works in general.
Taking on what i've learnt
At the Beginning of the trimester I set out to gain more Exposure within Concept design, Level design, gain better understanding within scripting, gain footing with audio and understand how game development works from more than just an artistic perspective and I found that I explored all these different area's along with learning to use more software and understanding more complex areas such as Rigging and in future I hope to Expand upon what I've Learnt, understanding more about Rendering, Scripting and 3d Animation and carry on enhancing my skills as a designer.
