With The Alpha Build of our Nearly Thief game Pinch! near Completion the most important of creating any game of course is putting all the ingredients and baking that sucker!
With all the Environmental Assets that I created Boxes, pillars, pipes, windows, corridors, guard model's and so on Me and Blake Got stuck into Piecing them all together and creating the level for our awesome Pinch Game. While working on the level we aimed to keep the initial aspects of the game (Sneaky, cheeky, thievery) with tweaking of the levels levels lighting and making sure players still felt the same atmosphere as with the prototype.
Along with a better grasp of level designing, 3D modeling and texturing experience, Art Asset creation such as Concept design I was also in charge of the games sound, sound production was another field i would love to get into and with pinch it helped me get started into the right direction by using Audacity to edit the sounds and understanding the importance of sound reverb and creating a sort of makeshift sound studio to record the guards alert sounds.
As with my Solo project, Pinch has helped me get involved in a lot of area's that earlier I never really understood or couldn't get a proper start on, working with the animators and the constant creation of environmental assets helped get used to the 3-D asset creation pipeline from concept all the way to the final texturing and application within the game.
As my aim is to become a Concept Artist, being the artists for pinch and other projects has helped create a more solid base that with every project that I upon build upon as well as more experience with other fields of interest such 3-D Modeling, Animating and Sound Production and use.
